Food assistance
ACS offers food assistance to anyone in our community in need. Our food pantry is open on Saturday mornings from 9:30am-1:00pm. Food can also be delivered during hours of operation; if needed, please call in your food order during the hours of operation.
Financial Assistance
ACS is able to offer limited financial assistance for those in need in our community. examples that qualify for of financial assistance might include:
home repairs
car repairs
etc.
housing/rent
medical expenses
utility bills

scholarship
To qualify for this scholarship, one must be a client of Alton Community Services Program or a child of a client, and be a resident of Alton or Alton Bay. The award will be made on the basis of financial need and merit. The intent of this scholarship is to assist an individual attending a vocational school or similar establishment such as technical programs, mechanical programs, beauty school, cooking school, nurse’s aide, secretary, legal assistant programs, etc. Click on the button below to view the application.

ACS has built relationships with many other community service organizations in our area. If we are not able to help, we would be happy to refer you to an organization that can better meet your needs.
